Hurricane Sandy Donations

Hurricane Sandy was a powerful storm that for many families and children destroyed their homes and belongings.  We are so thankful that the recent storm did not impact our area as significantly as others.  We have many locations in New Jersey that were directly impacted from the storm.  We would like to support their recovery efforts by providing families, especially children, with new goods and supplies essential for them to start to rebuild their lives.

Many families lost everything, from clothing to basic essential supplies.  If you are interested in donating items we will be collecting donations from the list below through Friday, November 9th to deliver various locations in need.  Our site is designated to collect the following items needed:

  • Pajamas (new or gently used)

  • Socks

  • Coloring books and crayons

  • Children's Story Books

If you are interested in making a financial donation we would ask that families make checks directly payable to The American Red Cross.  You may drop those checks with your Center Director (Michelle Lord) and we will ensure that they are sent to local Red Cross chapter in New Jersey.
