The All Stories Theater Company presents a (rescheduled!) free public reading of the new play “The Van Meder Trust” on Sunday, April 14th at 3pm at The Hockomock YMCA Arts Center, 40 Balcom Street, Mansfield, MA.
Written by Foxboro playwright Beth Danesco, “The Van Meder Trust” is a multi-generational, multi-cultural family drama about a 13-year old girl still dealing with the effects of a tumultuous childhood, and the two aunts – one African American, one white South African – who try to steer her through a time of crises.
Matthew Bruffee of Middleboro will direct a cast which includes Molly Beck Ferguson of Plainville, Keena Keel of Devens, Leeanna Singleton of Randolph, Calvin Braxton of Malden, John Trent of Marlborough, Mark Mason of Cochituate and Judith Nelson-Dilday of Boston.
Special venue art will be provided by photographer Breck Sargent.
The performance marks the debut of both The All Stories Theater Company and "The Van Meder Trust," and the audience is invited to become part of the ongoing creative process by offering their post-show feedback.
The show is suitable for audiences 13 years and up and will last approximately 120 minutes with one intermission. There will be light refreshments. No tickets or reservations required. Donations appreciated at the door.
Hope to see you there!
“The Van Meder Trust” is a proud receipient of a grant from The Mansfield Cultural Council, a local affiliate of The Massachusetts Cultural Council.
