Community Update

The Montessori philosophy of nurturing the whole child is what drew me to the school. The enthusiasm and wide array of educational, social and personal skills my children are learning and the commitment and care the teachers give them is why I keep them at HOMS. They love to go to school, and in some ways are not even fully aware of how they are learning because it is such a natural and active way. In addition to excelling at education basics like reading, writing, math, and science in an experiential and fun way, my children are confident, outgoing, empathetic, globally/socially aware and well rounded, and I owe a lot of that to HOMS. All 3 of my children (now ages 4-6) are in their 3rd year, so we have experienced toddler, preschool, “kindergarten”, and lower elementary class environments. Whereas there are good school districts nearby to HOMS, none of them will inspire your child, provide holistic learning methods, offer individual attention, or focus on nurturing the whole individual the special way that the HOMS community does.
