Congratulations to this year's Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce's Favorite Summer Memory Contest Winners Paulina Baczkowski, Skyler Wells and Montana Wojick.

Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce Announces Winners of 2013 Back to School Buy Local Contest

The Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the Back to School Buy Local Contest on Friday, Aug. 30, before Labor Day Weekend. The Grand Prize Winner, Paulina Baczkowski of Foxborough, Mass., were awarded a prize package from the shops at Patriot Place including a back to school backpack from EMS and gift certificates from Old Navy and Patriot Place.

Paulina was a runner up in the 2012 Back to School Buy Local contest, where children between the ages of 8-15 submitted stories and pictures of their Favorite Summer Memory.  This year’s story about her first concert, Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium, garnered nearly 400 comments on the Tri-Town Chamber Blog from friends and family across the country. “The support for the finalists was overwhelming,” said Kara Griffin, Executive Director of the Tri-Town Chamber. “It was wonderful to see aunts, uncles, friends and even grandparents show their support.”

First and second runner up went to Skyler Wells of Attleboro, Mass., and Montana Wojick of Mansfield, Mass. “Because of the outpouring of support from Patriot Place including Old Navy, EMS and Staples of Foxborough, we had something for each of the finalists,” said Griffin. “It’s wonderful when businesses can give back to their community in such a personal way. We look forward to doing this again next year.” You can read all the entries at the Tri-Town Chamber Blog.
