Chocolate is a popular treat. It contains theobromine and it is one of the most common causes of canine poisoning. It can can cause hyperactivity, seizures, and an elevated heart rate in dogs. Keep your Easter egg chocolates hidden and away from your dog.
2) Easter Sweet Treats
Candies/Sweet deserts are another popular treat. They contain sugar substitute xylitol, a sweetener, which is toxic to dogs.
3) Easter Table Scraps
If you are having a family gathering, remind everyone not to give any food to your dog. They need to resist your dog’s begging eyes. You might need to create a distraction for your dog like a special chew toy/treat.
4) Easter Eggs
Decorative eggs, dyed eggs, and plastic eggs can become choking hazards for your dog. Your dog might mistake these eggs as toys. Real dyed eggs can be spoiled and when eaten by your dog it can cause intestinal sickness.
