MHS Entrepreneurs Make Donation to Our Daily Bread

Mansfield High School’s Entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business selling custom green and white ear buds during the winter trimester.  Students presented their business proposals to each other and decided as a group to pursue the ear buds project.  They collaborated to design the logo that would be printed on the cases, and then worked on how to market the business and increase sales.  Students sold out of their ear buds within just two weeks.  After analyzing their finances, students determined that a $250 charitable donation would be possible.  The students donated $250 to Our Daily Bread on behalf of Mansfield High School.

Since the inception of this “small business” project in Mrs. Prester’s Entrepreneurship classes, students have donated over $2,700 to seven local charities and organizations, while also funding future trimesters of Entrepreneurship students to complete the same project.  The project was born from a grant awarded by the Mansfield Education Foundation to increase classroom innovation and authentic learning experiences.
