Paul Doherty

Paul Anthony Doherty Sr., 72, of Foxborough, died May 8, 2013. Paul was a retired patrolman and court prosecutor for the Town of Foxborough, retiring in 2003. Paul served the citizens of Foxborough for over 37 years. He was also a former news photographer for the former Boston Herald-Traveler from 1962-1972. Doherty’s last assignment before retiring in 2009 was that of court prosecutor. For the obituary click here.

Bruce Moffitt

Bruce Moffitt, 49, of Easton, died May 4, 2013. He was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Bruce began working as a mechanic at the age of 18 for his fathers business, Warren's Service of Brockton and later became the owner of the business upon his father's retirement. He later went to work for Waste Management as a driver and for the past 10 years he was employed by UPS of Brockton in the warehouse division. For the complete obituary click here.

 

Loretta Wawrzyniak

Loretta A. Wawrzyniak, 88, died May 6, 2013.  She entered Harvard University in Cambridge in its first class of women in 1947. She was assistant professor of French at Wheaton College. Before retiring, she was director of foundation relations at Western New England University. She co-authored a French textbook entitled "Year Abroad."  For the complete obituary click here.

 

Ruth Dinneen

Ruth A. (O'Brien) Dinneen, 99, of Wrentham, died May 4, 2013. Ruth was born and educated in Boston, she was a graduate of Mission High School. She lived in Dorchester form many years before moving to Quincy in 1997. She was a faithful listener of WBZ Radio and was an avid Red Sox fan. For the complete obituary click here.

 

Hector LaPointe

Hector A. LaPointe, 84, of Swansea, died May 4, 2013. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a 35 year employee of New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. He was past-commander of Post 5, Franco American War Veterans, a member of Post 464 American Legion, former member of St. Vincent de Paul Society, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Swansea, a member of the Holy Name Society of the former Notre Dame Parish, past president of the Allegro Glee Club, a member of Club Richelieu, past treasurer of L’Association Francophone, life member of the Franco American Genealogical Society, former treasurer and board member of Notre Dame Credit Union, former member of the Massachusetts State Guard and former member of the National Guard. Albert Cannon

Albert A. Cannon, 85, of S. Attleboro, passed on April 28, 2013. Albert was educated in Attleboro schools and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He was a firefighter in the City of Attleboro for 33-years, retiring as an acting captain in 1983. Albert served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a very active member of American Legion Post 312 in South Attleboro, where he was Past Commander. He also was a member of BPOE Lodge 1014 in Attleboro, and the South Attleboro Lions Club, where he received the Melvin Jones Award. For the complete obituary click here. 

 

Donald Sheldon

Donald F. Sheldon, 79, formerly of Mansfield, passed away April 29, 2013. He was a 1950 graduate of Mansfield High School. During the Korean War he served his country as a member of the United States Navy, stationed at Key West Naval Air Station in Boca Chica, Fla. He was honorably discharged from the service on Aug. 5, 1955 with the rank of Yeoman Second Class and continued his love of flying at the Mansfield Airport for many years. Prior to retiring to Deltona, Fla., Mr. Sheldon was employed as a distribution clerk for the United States Postal Service in Providence, R.I. and Taunton. He previously worked at the Kendall Co. in Walpole for many years. For the complete obituary click here.
