Mansfield Obituary: Patricia McKeever

The following is the obituary for Patricia M. (Landrey) McKeever, age 65, of Mansfield.

Patricia M. (Landrey) McKeever, age 65, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Alfred J. McKeever, Sr. to whom she was wed on May 21, 1974.

Born in Boston, MA on April 5, 1947, she was a loving daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Welch) Landrey.

Pat grew up in Westwood and was a graduate of Westwood High School. She furthered her studies and was a graduate of Framingham State College, where she played field hockey and received her teaching degree.

A resident of Mansfield for the past 28 years, she had previously resided in Quincy. Mrs. McKeever was a retired school teacher and had taught for over 15 years in the Mansfield School System.

Pat was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield. Her life was spent dedicated to her cherished family. She enjoyed raising her children and attending their sporting events and performing arts activities. Her other interests included crafts, sewing, knitting, quilting and spending time with her adoring dogs “Ralph” and “Sadie”

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Patty M. McKeever and Alfred J. McKeever, Jr. both of New York City and Jimmy P. McKeever of Westboro. She was the dear sister of Betty Carter of New Hampshire and Peggy Landrey Conlon Miller and Paula Hoy both of Norwood. Mrs. McKeever is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Monday, January 7th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 6th from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Patricia’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, 175 Fruit St., Mansfield, MA 02048.
