Barbara B. Alderson, 92, formerly of Mansfield, Attleboro, and Summerfield, Fla., died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Curtis Home in Meriden, Conn.
She was the loving wife of the late Oliver W. Alderson. Born in Boston, MA, May 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rose (Fiske) Baker. After graduating from Lynn English High School and the Fay Secretarial School, she worked as a secretary for many years.
She leaves a daughter: Cynthia Fitzgibbons of Wallingford, Conn.; two sons: Bruce Alderson and his wife Carol of Rehoboth, and Thomas Alderson of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren: Dawn Fitzgibbons, Kevin Fitzgibbons and Jeffrey Alderson; two great grandchildren: Logan and Alexa Fitzgibbons; son-in-law: George Fitzgibbons; and dear friends: Frances Rowland and Marge Przewoznik. She was predeceased by a son Brian Alderson; and sisters: Dorothy Getchell and Bette Nordstrom.
