Obituary: Cynthia Lee Reach

The following is the obituary for Cynthia Lee (Dean) Reach, 64.

Cynthia Lee (Dean) Reach, 64, of Hanisch Road, Attleboro; formerly of Mansfield, Taunton and Norton; died unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, November 2, 2012. She was the beloved and cherished wife of the late John Edward Reach, Sr., to whom she was married on December 30, 1966 and died on April 28, 2010.

Born in Dighton, Massachusetts on November 18, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Leo Dean, Sr. and Muriel (Watterson) Dean. She was raised and educated in Norton, where she attended public schools. She later resided in Taunton for four years prior to moving to Mansfield, where she lived for 13 years before moving to Attleboro 23 years ago.

Mrs. Reach had been employed by the former Sweets Box Company and Fuller Box Company, both located in the Chartley section of Norton. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Reach was employed by Pace Realty in North Attleboro.

She was tirelessly devoted to her family and they were her world.

Mrs. Reach had a lifelong love for animals, enjoyed reading, creating crafts and was a short story writer having particularly enjoyed writing children's stories and was a member of an informal writer's guild.

She leaves a devoted son: John E. Reach, Jr. and his wife, Michelle E. (Howell) Reach, of North Attleboro and a devoted daughter: Dina M. Baldasoro and her husband, Vincent P. Baldasoro, Jr. of North Attleboro.

She was the cherished grandma of Vinny, Erica, Ray, Andy and Hannah.

She was the sister of Susan Carroll and her husband, Raymond Carroll, of Attleboro; Claudia Botelho and her husband, Jose Botelho, of Providence, Rhode Island; Robert "Bobby" Dean and his wife, Michelle Dean, of Foxboro and Leo Dean, Jr. and his wife, Laura Dean, of Norton.

She also leaves nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.

Those in need of transportation to visitation may simply call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, November, 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, pastor of the First Congregational Church, North Attleboro, officiating.

Private family burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne.

Children's room available during visitation and the funeral service.

Please do not send flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
