Obituary: Evelyn Robinson-Concannon, 95, Mansfield Resident for 60 Years

Evelyn M. (Unger) Robinson-Concannon, 95, of Foxboro, formerly of Mansfield, died on Friday, December 20, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore W. Robinson, Sr. to whom she was wed for 52 years and the late John J. Concannon, Sr. to whom she was wed for 10 years.

Born in Portland, Maine on January 21, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John D., Sr. and Ruth E. (Hunt) Unger. She was a 1936 graduate of Mansfield High School. Mrs. Robinson-Concannon worked as a secretary for over 30 years at Swank Inc. in Attleboro, before she retired in 1981. She had made her home in Foxboro for the past 19 years and had formerly resided for 60 years in Mansfield.

She was a communicant of St. Marys Church in Mansfield and was a former member of the Mansfield Council on Aging. Since living in Foxboro, she was actively involved at the Foxboro Senior Center where she participated as a member of the Singing Seniors.

Her favorite times were those spent with family and friends. She loved the many summer months spent on beautiful West Island in Fairhaven and was an avid New England sports fan, the Patriots being her favorite team to cheer on. Her other interests included solving crossword puzzles.

She leaves Theodore W. Robinson, Jr. and his wife Carol of Falmouth and the late Ruth E. Kirchner. She was the sister of Robert F. Unger and his wife Laurie of Mansfield and the late John D. Unger, Jr. and Edward W. Unger. She also leaves 9 grandchildren including Pam Brown, Todd Robinson, Keith Robinson, and Karen Coyle, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and John Concannon's children, Janet Handwerk and her husband John of Braintree, Jerry Concannon and his wife Judy of Braintree and the late John Jack Concannon, Jr., who leaves his wife Ginny Concannon of Franklin, as well as 6 Concannon grandchildren and 19 Concannon great grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private.
