Obituary: Mary (Mazzio) Palano, Former Mansfield Resident

Mary C. (Mazzio) Palano, 89, of North Attleboro, formerly of Easton and Mansfield, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro after a period of failing health.

She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Palano.

She began working in the factories as a stitcher making uniforms for soldiers during the war. Later, she took a position as a postal clerk for the South Postal Annex in Boston, a position she held for 20 years.

She is survived by her children, Dominic Palano and his wife Nancy of Norton, and Leann Bates of Seekonk; a brother, Dominic Palano of Peabody; a sister, Rose Cadden of Winthrop; and two grandchildren, Denise Palano of Oakley, CA. and Jamie Smith of Marshfield.

Funeral services were held on Thursday.
