Robert E. Geagan of Mansfield, passed away after a courageous battle with a long illness on Sunday, Oct. 28, at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was 58 and the beloved husband of Gail (Abramoski) Geagan for 32 years.
Born in Everett on Aug. 1, 1954, he was the loving son of the late Thomas E. and Grace E. (Riley) Geagan.
Mr. Geagan was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and worked as a technician for Verizon until he retired after 34 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and the love of his dog Fred, who was his devoted and close companion for the past three years. He was very generous and managed to maintain a good sense of humor, strong will and a positive attitude throughout his illness.
Mr. Geagan was the loving father of Krystyna Geagan, Laura Geagan and Kaitlin Geagan. He was the dear brother of Thomas E. Geagan Jr. of Acton, Virginia Santucci of Foxboro and Marilyn Tarallo of Mansfield.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., Mansfield on Friday, November 2, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 N. Main St., Mansfield on Thursday, from 3-8 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
