William N. MacKenzie, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was 65 years old. He was the beloved husband of Betty (Anthony) MacKenzie.
Born in Nova Scotia on December 21, 1947, he was the loving son of the late John James and Mary Evelyn (McNeil) MacKenzie.
Mr. MacKenzie served as Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He worked with his brothers in the Construction field for many years.
Mr. MacKenzie was the loving father of Sheila, Karla, William and Matthew. He was the dear brother of Donnie, Audrey, Jimmy, Sr. Mary Alice, Sr. Miriam, Edward, Bobby, Donna and the late Roy and Evelyn Marie. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt Street (Rte. 106) in Mansfield on Thursday, January 31st at 1:00pm. Visiting hours will be held at the Bolea-Amici Funeral Home, 115 North Main Street, Mansfield prior to Mass from 11:30am-12:30pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
