Roger J. Scialoia, 83, Korean War Veteran

Roger J. Scialoia, 83, died on Friday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the son of the late Luigi and Seraphina (Silvetelli) Scialoia. He was born on June 24, 1930 in Mansfield.

Mr. Scialoia served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was employed in the back office at Bay Bank for several years. In earlier years, he was a chauffeur in Santa Monica, Calif., driving many celebrities and delivering mail to celebrities. Mr Scialoia loved entertaining his family and friends with his storytelling.

He leaves his siblings Carrie White and Alice Smith of Attleboro, Josie Chartier of Calif., Philo Chamberlain of Utah, and the late Joseph, Harry, Louis and Paul Scialoia and Angie LaNinfa. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St., Mansfield at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25. Arrangements are under the care of the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, Foxboro.
