No Street Ball

No playing in the street if it involves a ball. Hmmm. We are told our kids don't get out enough, but yet there rights to play to be free for a hour is taken away. If its on a busy street I can understand the concern but a s...ide street or less traveled street, I can't. The woman that complained most likely is an old bitty that has nothing else to do. I know because we have one on our street. The one person that calls the cops for every little thing. Anyhow, she didn't let her kids play in the street when they were younger? I find that hard to believe. Playing in the street has always been a pass time with friends and neighbors. Street Hockey, baseball, football, basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, etc all of these include a ball of some sort. We played kick the can, kick the rock, hopscotch, you name it, we played it in the street. What is becoming of us? And we want to know why our kids are becoming obese or anti-social, lazy? This is why. I have an urge to get a group of people together and play game of rock ball (baseball using a rock) on this street and see what they do.  I would love a good challenge. A rock is not a ball :)
