Alleged Child Predator Intends to Fight Charges

An alleged child predator accused of preying on girls in Mansfield and Foxborough intends to fight his charges.
Peter Campobasso, 31, of Medford, was due in court Tuesday, NECN reported. He was charged with trying to give cash to a 12-year-old Mansfield girl in exchange for nude photos. His lawyer plans to fight the charges, according to NECN.
In a separate case, Campobasso was also charged with trying to pay a 15-year-old girl for sex in Foxborough, according to the Sun Chronicle.
Police have said Campobasso may have preyed on more underage girls.
"Campobasso is believed to have befriended many young girls in the Mansfield/Attleboro area via Facebook and social media," Mansfield police said in a statement.
