Bike Riding Thief Arrested on Route 140 Plus More in the Mansfield Police Log.

January 18
11:56 p.m. - After a report of a disturbance in an apartment complex on Erick Road, James Mahoney, of 217 Central St., Framingham was arrested and charged wish domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250.

January 20
1:47 a.m. - While biking down Route 140 South towards Route 495, Christopher Rideout, 39, of 98 Coby Drive, Halifax was stopped by Patrolman Michael Fenore as part of a well being check. After stopping Rideout and inquiring about the posessions he had on him, Rideout admitted to stealing the items after breaking into his sister’s house by using a credit card to open a locked door.

Rideout was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property over $250. Bail was set at $2,500.
January 22
3:28 a.m. - Mansfield police responded to a report of a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Franklin St. Due to the car alarm going off, no entry into the vehicle was made.
No other vehicles were broken into. The suspect was not caught and was believed to be last seen running towards East St.
