Car Fire in Mansfield on 95

Fire in Mansfield had to be put out twice.

Mansfield Firefighters responded to a call on Friday reporting a car fire at about 6:30 on Friday.

The vehicle was engulfed on the exit 6A on ramp, and was initially reported to the Massachusetts State Police.

Traffic was reportedly backed up all the way to the Route 295 exit in Attleboro, because of emergency vehicles.

When the vehicle was extinguished, no one was reported hurt at the time.

A full hour and a half later, Mansfield Police reported having the vehicle in their custody and it started smoldering, after it had been cleared and moved off the highway. Mansifeld fire put the vehicle out again at around 8 a.m.
