Easton Resident Arrested for Burglary in Mansfield

After allegedly breaking into a vehicle in Mansfield, an Easton resident has been charged with breaking and entering and theft.

Easton resident Gregory Cotter was arrested in Mansfield on Sunday for breaking into a vehicle for a felony, larceny over $250 and possession of a burglary instrument.

Cotter, 22, of 6 Rainbow Cir. in Easton was arrested after a caller on Bonney Lane reported seeing him breaking into a black Dodge Stealth in the area.

Mansfield Police responded by first requesting a K-9 unit and sending out detectives to search the location.

Sergeant Francis Archer found Cotter a half hour after the initial call behind the Rotenberg Center. Archer took him into custody behind Stearns Avenue after allegedly finding the radio to the vehicle in the area.
