EMS Log: High Carbon Monoxide Levels, Accident Near Route 95, and a Car Fire

January 21

11:40 a.m. - Mansfield Fire responded to a car fire located in the parking lot of Home Depot on West Street.

5:34 p.m. - Mansfield EMS responded to a call concerning a highly intoxicated male on Crocker Street. Male was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.

January 23

3:35 p.m. - Mutual aid requested by the Norton Fire Department to help transport a male with swelling in his feet and abdomen to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.

 

11:24 p.m. - Mansfield Fire assisted Foxborough Fire with a motor vehicle accident near Exit 7 on Route 95 South.

 

January 24

10:03 a.m. - Mansfield Fire responded to a call for a carbon monoxide detector beeping from two residents on Balcom Street that sounded lightheaded and dizzy. When they arrived, Mansfield FD concluded that the symptoms and high carbon monoxide levels were caused by a vehicle that was running in the garage.

 

10:11 a.m. - A person who suffered an seizure in their vehicle on Franklin Street was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

 

January 25

6:02 a.m. - Mansfield Fire respond to a 911 call reporting the smell of gas and soot around the furnace. The smell was due to blow back from the furnace.

Carbon monoxide levels were measured at 22ppm and utilities were shut down.
