Car and brush fires, and a few road accidents

April 12

10:15 p.m. Mansfield Fire assisted Foxboro in putting out a car fire. The car was reportedly fully engulfed. No injuries reported.

April 14

4:27 p.m. Mansfield and Norton Emergency Medical Services responded to an accident near Mansfield Crossing involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist. Cyclist refused transport.

5:37 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a call on Helena Cir. that said a three-year-old child was not breathing. Child was transported to Norwood Hospital.

April 15

5:28 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident on the intersection of Franklin St. and Winter St. No injuries reported.

7:54 p.m. Mansfield, Foxboro and Norton all responded to a fire at an industrial building on 47 Maple St. in Mansfield. The fire was determined to be inside a machine in the building, and was extinguished. 

April 16

3:56 a.m. Caller reported a car fire at the Rte. 95 South Rest Area at the Rte 495 exit. Mansfield Fire arrived on the scene at 4:06 a.m., and found the car to have mechanical problems.

11:11 a.m. Caller reported a possible brush fire near 440 School St. Mansfield Fire investigated the call and found a large pile of pine trees that were promptly extinguished.
