Five Taken Into Protective Custody at Last Saturday's Train Concert

In a concert season with 500-plus arrests and protective custodies, incidents at the Train concert were relatively low.

Last Saturday, July 27, the Comcast Center hosted the Train: Mermaids of Alcatraz tour, where there were only five protective cusodies.

The concert season at the Comcast Center has seen weeks with much larger numbers of arrests and protective custodies. 52 people were taken into custody during the opening weekend May 17 and 18.

Other weeks with high volumes of arrests include June 14 through 16 when 120 people were taken into custody during a Rascal Flatts show and two Dave Matthews Band shows, respectively.

On the weekend of June 2-3, the Comcast Center hosted Jam'n 94.5 Summer Jam and country singer Luke Bryan, where 98 people were taken into custody overall.

There have been over 500 arrests and protective custodies at the Comcast Center so far this season. The following were taken into protective custody at the Train concert:

Protective Custodies:

  • An 18-year-old woman from Walpole was placed under protective custody.

  • A 24-year-old woman from Dearborn Heights, Mich. was placed under protective custody.

  • A 23-year-old man from Boston was placed under protective custody.

  • An 18-year-old man from North Attleboro was placed under protective custody.

  • A 22-year-old man from Foster, R.I. was placed under protective custody.
