Former Mansfield High QB Accused of Theft in Vermont

George Busharis, a 19-year-old sophomore at Castleton State College in Vermont, has been charged with stealing merchandise from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Former Mansfield High School quarterback George Busharis has been arrested and charged by Vermont State Police for stealing more than $3,000 in merchandise from Dick's Sporting Goods with a teammate on the Castleton State College football team, according to the Sun Chronicle.

Busharis, a 19-year-old sophomore and quarterback on the team, bought items from the store for much lower than their value three or four times over the past couple of weeks, with the help of wide receiver Brandon Boyle, 21, of Springfield, who worked there.

Castleton has suspended both students from the football team indefinitely, but they will be allowed the stay in classes as the school's judicial process continues. They are both due in Vermont Superior Court on October 14 on charges of retail theft.
