UPDATE: Mansfield Branch of Sharon Credit Union Robbed

Friday afternoon, an armed male robbed Sharon Credit Union in Mansfield.

Updated 7:40 p.m.

For the third time since December, the Mansfield branch of Sharon Credit Union has been robbed.

The call came in, according to Mansfield Police, at around 1:29 p.m. The caller reported an armed male suspect who allegedly robbed the bank at gun point.

This time, the suspect fled through the wooded area, much like the two previous times in in December 2012 and and got into a white vehicle, possibly a Toyota Corolla or a Honda, parked on Walnut Street.

Police stated the vehicle possibly had a Rhode Island license plate, driven by another party.

 No arrests were made in relation to either previous incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mansfield Police Detective Division. The robbery is being investigated by Det. John Armstrong and Det. Ken Wright.
