Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Aug. 29- Sept. 5

The following is from the Mansfield Fire Department and EMS Log.

The and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 69 calls last week.

Aug. 29

2:13 Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting that there had been a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Rte. 95 South ramp going to Rte. 495 South. North Attleboro EMS transported the motorcycle operator to Rhode Island Hospital.

Aug. 30

12:34 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Chauncy Street. Both occupants were transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

3:56 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting two electrical linemen injured from electrical burns. The line they were working on was supposed to be inactive. One worker was transported via medflight to Massachusetts General Hospital, while the other was transported to Norwood Hospital.

5:33 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a two vehicle collision at the intersection of West Street and Tremont Street. Two occupants were seriously injured and medflighted to Bringham and Women’s Hospital. The other two occupants were transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. North Attleboro, Norton and Foxborough EMS also assisted Mansfield during the incident.

 

Sept. 3

1:52 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a boat fire in the parking lot on Erick Road. The boat was not near any buildings or other vehicles, and was later extinguished by Mansfield Fire.

 

Sept. 4

6:13 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call from Police reporting that wood in the back of a pickup truck caught fire while parked near the intersection of South Main Street and Reservoir Road. The fire was extinguished.

 

Sept. 5

12:49 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting that a motorcycle had gone down on Rte. 95 North ramp going to Rte. 495 South. Mansfield EMS transported the rider to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

6:15 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a high speed one-vehicle collision with both occupants not wearing seatbelts on Rte. 95 North between Exit 5 and the Rte. 495 exit. Both occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
