Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Collisions, Spills and Car Fire

The following is fromt he Mansfield Fire and EMS log.

The Mansfied Fire Department and Emergency Medica Services responded to a total of 43 calls last week.

May 1

8:38 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting an explosion and fire on Angell Street. The explosion was not confirmed, but Mansfield firefighters found a contained fire in a pit. Firefighters found that the homeowner had been burning construction materials in the pit.

May 2

11:32 a.m. Foxborough Fire reported a motor vehicle collision on Route 95 North of exit 7.

May 3 

10:36 a.m. Foxborough Fire reported a motor vehicle collision on Route 495 North south of exit 13. Firefighters found that one of the vehicles was leaking diesel fluid. The leak was mitigated and one patient was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Norton Specials Hazards aided in the cleanup.

2:48 p.m. Mansfeld Fire responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle fire on Route 95 South. Mansfield Fire reported that the fire was isolated to the engine compartment.

May 4

12:43 a.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle collision involving a car and a utility pole. 

May 5

1:15 a.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a call reporting a man down after a fight. One patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.
