Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Dec.19 - 26

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to 42 calls last week.

Dec. 19

8:17 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a house fire on Kerry Drive. When Firefighters got to the house, they discovered that it was a bush in front of the house that was on fire, and not the house itself.

Dec. 20

8:01 p.m. Caller reported that there is a fire in the back yard approaching the house.  Mansfield Firefighters contained the fire in a small area and then extinguished the conflagration.

Dec. 23

10:26 a.m. Caller reported an oil spill that started at 280 Ware St. that extended to Branch Street. The spill was mitigated.

Dec. 26

6:53 a.m. State Police reported that there was a collision on Route 495 north of the Rte 140 exit. One occupant was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital by medflight.
