Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: July 4-11

The following is taken from the Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services Log.

Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a total of 47 calls last week.

 

July 5

11:48 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting that there had been a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Oakland St. and Kingman Ave. One fire engine, two command cars and two ambulances arrived on scene within minutes and found two occupants to be trapped in one of the vehicles. They were freed in under ten minutes by emergency personnel. Three people were taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

July 8

1:50 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a vehicle fire on Rte. 495 North in the vicinity of Mansfield. No injuries reported, and the fire was put out.

 

July 9

12:16 a.m. Caller reported that a tree was touching the electrical lines on Fulton St. Mansfield Fire send an engine in case of fire, and notified the electrical company of the location and issue.

11:19 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to numerous calls reporting a two-vehicle apparently head-on collision at the intersection of Rte. 140 and School St. Two fire engines, one command car and two ambulances arrived on scene. Medflight was contacted and ready if needed. Three occupants were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for injuries.
