Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: June 20-27

The following is a list of calls the Mansfield Fire and EMS services responded to last week.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 57 calls last week. This is a slight increase , which had a total of 42 calls, but a decrease since the , which showed 65 calls.

June 21

9:32 a.m. Police informed Mansfield Fire and EMS of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Central St. and Chauncy St. involving a motorcycle and a truck. Paramedics arrived on the scene and treated injuries on site.

1:57 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a call reporting that there had been a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Chauncy St. and Rte. 140. One occupant was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

6:29 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a call reporting that a two-year-old infant was having a seizure. The infant was transported to Norwood Hospital.

June 22

12:24 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a call reporting that a two-year-old infant was suffering an asthma attack. The child was transported to Norwood Hospital.

2:07 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a mutual aid call from Norton concerning a motor vehicle accident on 94 Taunton Ave. One occupant was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

3:59 p.m. Caller reported that there had been an accident on Erick Rd. involving one car. Occupant was treated on site for minor injuries.

7:20 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting that there had been a two-car motor vehicle accident at the CVS on Chauncy St. One occupant was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

 

June 24

11:46 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 495 north at the Rte. 95 south exit.  Sometime after the crash one of the vehicles had caught on fire and needed to be extinguished. Mansfield Fire pulled one occupant out of one of the vehicles. Both parties sustained minor injuries and were treated on site.

 

June 26

7:28 p.m. Caller reported smelling smoke at the building on 81 Lawndale Rd. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded, and found evidence of a small fire taking place in the basement. Firefighters checked the rest of the house to make sure none of the original fire had spread.
