Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: March 26 to April 1

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS log.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 46 calls last week.

March 26

1:11 p.m. Norton Fire requested a mutual aide to cover their station during a brush fire in the area.

2:28 p.m. Deputy Chief Puelo went to Randolph to assisted in a tier 1 hazardous materials call.

3:08 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reported a brush fire behind residences on North Street. Firefighters found a gas can that acted as an accelerant. The can was near a leaf fire and was believed to be empty when a juvenile originally lit the fire.  The fire was put out in under an hour.

March 31

11:29 a.m. Massachusetts State Police called in a motor vehicle collision on the ramp of route 95 North to route 495 North. One of the two vehicles went into the ditch. One of the three passengers was transported to Norwood Hospital.
