Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Sandy, Collisions and Trees

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS Log from Oct. 28 to Nov. 4, 2012.

Oct. 28

12:28 p.m. Caller reported a two vehicle collision at Bristol Liquors. Mansfield EMS transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

12:16 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a downed line on Essex Street.

2:51 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a tree down on a house on South Street. Significant damage was reported to the residence’s roof.

4:12 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call of an electrical odor in a residence on Stearns Avenue. It was found that a tree had fallen on the house near the electric line.

4:14 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reporting a tree in the house on Mill Street.

5:08 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting an arching panel on Hempden Road. Firefighters found a wall removed from the building and numerous electrical hazards. The power was cut and electrical inspectors surveyed the area.

6:43 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reporting the roof of the building on Maple Street was coming off from the wind.

Nov. 1

6:45 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to call reporting a motor vehicle collision. One victim was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
