Mansfield Fire and EMS Log: Sept. 19-25

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS Log.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 66 calls last week.

Sept. 19

9:20 a.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting construction workers on Bird Street struck a natural gas line. Mansfield Police were evacuating the scene as Mansfield Fire and EMS arrived. A small leak in the line was discovered and fixed.

Sept. 20

1:10 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a vehicle fire on Route 95 at the North Attleboro/Mansfield line.

Sept.21

8:40 a.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a call reporting an electrical fire on a utility pole at the intersection of Dean Street and Spring Street. The cause appeared to be a severed wire. Power was cut to the line and the fire was mitigated.

Sept. 23

3:59 p.m. Mansfield Fire and EMS responded to a call reporting a rollover on the Route 495 North exit ramp to Route 95 South.
