Mansfield Fire Log: Pedestrian Strike, Brush Fire and Car Fire

The following is from the Mansfield Fire and EMS log from March 19 to March 25.

The Mansfield Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services responded to a total of 49 calls last week.

 

March 19

4:18 p.m. Mansfield EMS responded to a mutual aid call from Norton. One patient was transported from Old Meeting House Way to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

5:11 p.m. Caller reported a pedestrian party was struck by a motor vehicle in a cross walk near the Dunkin Donuts on Chauncy Street. When EMS personnel arrived, both parties had left the scene. Police Sergeant Juda reported finding the struck pedestrian on North Main Street and they refused a hospital transport with minor injuries.

8:04 p.m. Caller reported what they thought to be a building fire on Bonny Lane, but was later discovered to be a cooking fire.

9:18 p.m. Massachusetts State Police reported a car fire on Route 95 South. Mansfield firefighters knocked down the fire and wet it.

March 21

2:50 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a mutual aid call from Norton reporting a brush fire on Richardson Avenue.

3:55 p.m. Mansfield Fire responded to a mutual aid call for a level 1 hazardous materials call at Wheaton College.
