Mansfield Looking For Full-Time Dispatcher

The Mansfield Police Department is currently accepting applications for one full-time dispatcher positions, according to a statement from the Mansfield Police Department.

The dispatcher would be responsible for answering service and 911 calls, monitoring and communication on multiple radio frequencies, dispatching appropriate responses from officials, Emergency Medical Dispatch, and coordinating communications between field units, outside agencies, and the public, for Police, fire, and EMS services.

Applicants must be willing to work all shifts and must have a high school diploma or GED, experience with computer applications, strong multi-tasking skills and the "ability to perform at a high level of competence under stressful situations," preferably with previous police/fire dispatch experience. 

Starting Salary is $21.17 and anyone interested can send a cover letter, resume, and reference to Lt. Sam Thompson, Operations Lieutenant at the Mansfield Fire Department, 50 West St. The deadline is January 10 at 4 p.m.
