Mansfield Man Arrested, Charged With Assault & Battery With a Dangerous Weapon

The Mansfield Police have made an arrest in connection to a stabbing that took place on Sunday night.

At 9:38 p.m. on November 11, Mansfield police responded to a report of a stabbing at 61 Oakland Street.

While the male victim was taken to the trauma center Rhode Island Hospital for treatment, the Mansfield police arrested Matthew Lavallee, 24, of 69 Charles Street in connection with the stabbing.

Lavallee is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, mayhem, and resisting arrest.

Bail has been set for Lavallee at $5,000
