Mansfield Man Arrested for Assault on a Police Officer
Mansfield man arrested for assaulting a police officer after a domestic dispute was broken up.
John Bowes, 23 of 150 Rumford Ave. was arrested early Saturday morning for, among other charges, allegedly assaulting a Mansfield Police Officer.
Bowes was placed under arrest at his address during a physical altercation with a female party at around 3:45 in the morning.
Bowes was arrested for domestic assault and battery, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace and malicious destruction of property.

After the incident, Mansfield Emergency Medical personnel evaluated Bowes for any injuries. Transport to a local hospital was not required. Police stated later that bail would not be set for Bowes until he “calmed down.”
