Mansfield Man Identified as Victim in Rte. 24 Car Crash

The driver of a 2000 Ford Explorer was ejected from the vehicle Wednesday night and is in critical condition, State Police said Thursday.

A Mansfield resident is in critical condition in a Boston hospital after his vehicle crashed on Rte. 24 in Randolph Wednesday night, Massachusetts State Police announced in a statement Thursday morning.

The accident occurred around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, when state troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks in Milton responded to the Horse Bridge on the northbound side of Rte. 24 in Randolph for a single-vehicle crash involving a 2000 Ford Explorer. A male party was reportedly ejected from the vehicle, according to reports.

State Police identified the operator of the vehicle as Andrew Swenson, 23, of Mansfield, who was listed in critical condition Thursday morning at Boston Medical Center.
