Mansfield Police Arrest Suspects in Best Buy Thefts

Mansfield police arrest two men suspected in taking thousands of dollars in merchandise from the Mansfield Best Buy,

The Mansfield Police Department reported on Wednesday that they have arrested two men in connection with a string of Best Buy shoplifting cases. Police state that the pair have allegedly stolen over $10,000 worth of merchandise.

Robert Mason, 43 of Malden and Edward Mason, 38, of Salem, N.H. were arrested on Tuesday around 3 p.m. at the Best Buy in Mansfield Crossing.

Security officers from Best Buy chased Robert Mason through a wooded area outside of the store across Route 140. Detective Michael Ellsworth and pfficer John Armstrong apprehended Mason.

His brother, Edward, was waiting in the parking lot of the mall in an SUV that had been spotted during previous shoplifting incidents.

The pair are suspected of stealing over $10,000 worth of merchandise in computers, stereo equipment, computers, phones and other electronic equipment.
