Mansfield Police Log: $2K Theft, Hit and Run OUI and Drug Arrests

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3, 2012.

Nov. 29

8:50 a.m. Caller reported tools were stolen from his vehicle during a break in earlier in the week.

9:30 a.m. Caller reported that her laptop was stolen from her house during Thanksgiving.

10:47 a.m. Caller reported witnessing a hit and run on Branch Street.

5:39 p.m. Caller from Best Buy loss prevention reported a shoplifting incident from the previous day regarding a felony theft.

6:36 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle was broken into the previous night on York Road.

8:29 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle’s tires were slashed during the night while parked on Fruit Street.

Nov. 30

2:25 p.m. Caller from Covidien reported multiple computers were stolen from the premises.

3:31 p.m. Caller reported finding a bag full of bank checks near Covidien.

5:22 p.m. Joshua Houlihan, 33, of 2 Tappan Ave. in Attleboro was arrested for possession of both class A and E substances in Mansfield.  Houlihan was found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle on North Main Street and was arrested after initial investigation by police.

Dec. 2

1:15 a.m.  Joanna Bell, 52, of 15 Patriots Dr. in Canton was arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of property damage (hit and run). Bell was arrested after a caller reported being involved in a hit and run at the intersection of East Street and North Main Street. Police found Bell at an address on South Main Street and was taken into police custody.

5:02 p.m. Caller from Holiday Inn reported a vendor had some jewelry stolen from his table during a convention.

6:50 p.m. Caller from Best Buy reporting over $2,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from the store.

Dec. 3

3:49 a.m. Caller from loss prevention at Home Depot reported items stolen from the garden center.
