Mansfield Police Log: August 8-14

Concerts are back at the Comcast Center

August 8

3:30 p.m.  Reporting party came into the station and stated that someone had broken into her house and assaulted her dog.

5:14 p.m. Sharon Swindells, 48, of 5 Necco Rd. was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer.  Her husband called in after Swindells “lost it” and started throwing items from their fridge.  She was apprehended shortly after, and was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation. According to police, she began kicking the door and cage of the vehicle transporting her.  She was later returned to her residence, but put into protective custody on Saturday after an incident.

9:48 p.m.  Jason Colburn, 30, of 19 Erick Rd. was arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor.  A caller reported that he was driving erratically and police apprehended him shortly thereafter.

August 9

5:13 p.m. The following is a summery of police activity during the Blink 182 concert at the Comcast Center. There were ten arrests made for underage drinking and 25 people were taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

Colin McKenna, 17, of 56 Angelica Ln. was arrested for receiving stolen property valued above $250.

5:37 p.m. Caller reported that $850 was stolen from her apartment during the weekend.

11:39 p.m. Caller reported that a group of teens on foot had just stolen her mailbox.

 

August 10

10:45 a.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that her house had been broken into.

12:03 p.m. John Stacey, 47, of 630 Providence Highway in Walpole was arrested for felony larceny after his boss came into the station and stated that one of his employees had committed a theft.

10:24 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that his bicycle was stolen from his residence on East St.

 

August 11

11:55 a.m.  Caller reported that she came home to find all the doors of her residence open.

 

August 12

1:41 a.m. Michael Kerr, 30, of 1 Brook Parkway in Norton and William Dwyer, 49, of 50 Crock St. were both arrested for breaking into a vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.

11:59 a.m. Caller reported that $15 had been stolen from a cabinet in the Jordan Jackson School.

1:50 p.m. Caller reported that his vehicle was broken into during the night.

2:12 p.m. Caller reported that his motorcycle was damaged during the night.

3:00 Caller reported that his bicycle was stolen during the night.

3:12 p.m. The following is a summery of police activity during the Journey concert at the Comcast Center. There were no arrests made for underage drinking and four people were taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

 

August 13

6:47 a.m. Caller reported that one of the windows on her vehicle had been smashed by a rock while parked on Chilson Ave.

9:14 a.m. Caller reported that his girlfriend had been assaulted and $400 was missing.  She told police that she was out with a group of friends the previous night, and woke up in the morning with a laceration on her face and abrasions on her hands.

The following is a summery of police activity during the Maroon 5 concert at the Comcast Center. There were no arrests made for underage drinking and one person was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

Wendy Flannery, 46, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and driving to endanger.

 

August 14

9:26 a.m. Idrisa Stambuli, 29, of 69 East Main St. in Norton was arrested for using a motor vehicle without permission of the owner.

4:25 p.m. Caller reported a possible break in at his residence. He said he found the basement window open. Nothing was reported taken.

4:47 p.m. Caller reported a hit and run on North Main St.
