Mansfield Police Log: B&Es, OUI and Bootleg T-Shirts

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from Aug. 26 to Aug. 28

Aug. 26

3:00 a.m. Marianne Travers, 19, of 8 Stonyfield Rd. in Norton was arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of illegal drugs and underage possession of alcohol. Travers allegedly rolled her vehicle on Oak Street and hit a utility pole in the collision. She was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with a leg injury. Kyle Almeida, 19, of 6 Crestwood Dr. in Norton was issued a summons arrest for underage possession of alcohol after he allegedly fled the scene of the accident and was seen by neighbors.

8:38 a.m. Caller reported a hit and run at the intersection of West Street and Lancashire Drive earlier in the morning.

11:00 a.m. The following is a summary of police activity from the Uproar Festival at the Comcast Center. No parties were arrested for underage drinking and nine people were taken into protective custody during the show. One person was ejected for marijuana use and a group of people was ejected for selling “Bootleg” T-shirts during the show.

11:46 a.m. Shawn Collins, 21, of 9 Kerry Rd. was given a summons arrest for issuing a false insurance claim and attempting to commit a crime.

1:03 p.m. Normand Larocque, 48, of 29 Emory St. in Attleboro was arrested for attempting to commit a crime(threats to commit murder), witness intimidation, domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property valued over $250.

6:01 p.m. Caller reported that his vehicle was struck on Shawmut Avenue in a hit and run.

6:32 p.m. Caller reported that his vehicle was broken into while it was parked on East Street.

Aug. 28

2:08 a.m. Caller reported two smashed pumpkins in front of a residence on Willow Street and several mailboxes damaged at the same time.
