Mansfield Police Log: Car Thefts, A&B and Dine Ditching

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from dates June 26 to June 29.

June 26

9:11 a.m. Caller reported that his two vehicles parked on Newell Lane were broken into during the night. An iPod and cash was missing.

5:18 p.m. The following is a summary of police activity during the Iron Maiden concert at the Comcast Center. Seven people were placed in protective custody for public intoxication.

Jose Dias, 41, of 53 Christopher Dr. in Westfield was arrested for possession of a class B substance.

Richard Ofsthun, 26, of 27 Bigalow St. in Brighton was arrested for disorderly conduct.

7:36 p.m. Caller reported that his vehicle was broken into during the night while parked on Leonard Circuit. $6 in change was taken.

7:37 p.m. Caller reported that his vehicle was broken into during the night while parked on Leonard Circuit. An  iPod was reported taken.

8:10 p.m. Vaishalibn Patel, 26, and Anandiben Patel, 47, both of 1348 Route 44 in Raynham were arrested for shoplifting by recording a false value on merchandise. Stop and Shop representative reported a customer attempting to leave without paying for merchandise.

10:39 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle was just stolen from her driveway on Conrod Circuit. Caller reported that a key was in the glove box and police put out a BOLO (be on the lookout) advisory for the vehicle.

June 27

6:43 a.m. Caller reported her motorcycle was stolen sometime during the night while parked on Oakland Street.

12:01 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle was broken into during the night and $20  was taken.

10:08 p.m. Matthew Barsomian,18, of 4 Hidden Ln. was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

10:55 p.m. Mansfield Police found several mailboxes on Pratt Street by St. Mary’s Church to be knocked over.

June 28

1:50 a.m. Caller reported seeing a youth on Angell Street going through vehicles. Police reportedly found the youth's bicycle but not the suspect.

7:26 a.m. Caller reported his vehicle was broken into during the night and his laptop was stolen while the vehicle was parked on East Street.

12:23 p.m. Caller reported malicious damage to his mailbox on North Street.5:41 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle was broken into on June 25 and reported that $20 and medication were taken.

10:53 p.m. A caller, who reported his vehicle broken into earlier in the day, reported  the vehicle has now been stolen on East Street. Caller reported that the keys to the vehicle were stolen in the previous incident. The vehicle, a pickup truck, also had a four-wheeler ATV in the bed when it was stolen.

11:47 p.m.Caller reported his vehicle was broken into on Pratt Street. Caller reported a window was smashed and the car radio was taken.

June 29

9:57 a.m. Caller reported her car was spray painted during the night.

5:17 p.m. Judith Plouffe, 71, and Denise Randall,43, both of 103 Rumford Ave. were givena summons arrest for domestic assault and battery. Randall’s charge was more severe because of the age of Plouffe.

5:26 p.m. Caller reported that someone has been using her credit card without her permission at the Chauncy Street Cumberland Farms.

8:02 p.m. Evan Healy, 38, of 10 Sayles St. in North Uxbridge and Andrew Greeen, 20, of 23 Highcrest Park in Webster were arrested defrauding a restaurant. The managers at Fridays reported that the pair walked out on a $100 check.
