Mansfield Police Log: Home Invasion, Road Rage and Bats in the Belfry

The following from the Mansfield Police Log from Aug. 3 to Aug. 7 of 2012.

Aug. 3

9:35 a.m. The following is a summary of police activity during the Mayhem Festival at the Comcast Center. Five people were arrested for underage drinking and nine people were taken into protective custody for public intoxication. One person was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Noel Butler, 26, of 7 Bonney St. in Pembroke was arrested for open and gross lewdness.

Shawn Clayton, 30, of 6 Park St. in Middleboro was arrested for malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

David Hastings, 55, of 163 Lawrence St. in New Bedford was arrested for having eight warrants out for his arrest.

9:38 p.m. A caller reported coming home from vacation and finding his residence on Bird Road was broken into. A large amount of jewelry and most of the electronics in the residence was reported taken.

Aug. 4

11:34 a.m. Caller reported being run off the road by another vehicle on Franklin Street and East Street after it was tailgating her. Caller was reportedly the victim of a road rage incident.

1:14 p.m. Caller reported a red Pontiac left without paying for gas at the Mansfield gas and Service Station.

1:35 p.m. . The following is a summary of police activity during the 311 concert at the Comcast Center. 36 people were arrested for underage drinking and 33 people were put into protective custody for public intoxication.

Richard Case, 28, of 37A Glasson St. in Hudson was arrested for possession of a class C substance at the 311 concert.

Aug. 5

11:19 a.m. Caller reported that a guest had his motor vehicle during the night while he was working at the Holiday Inn.

12:45 p.m. Caller reported witnessing a hit and run caused by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee at 280 School St.

7:27 p.m. One juvenile female, aged 16, was arrested at the Kohl’s for shoplifting.

9:08 p.m. Tariq Alouani, 44, of 421 Franklin St. was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Aug. 7

12:14 a.m. Shane Butler, 34, of 12 Pratt St. was arrested for warrants.

11:04 a.m. Caller reported a bat in her residence with a possible exposure.

11:59 a.m. Caller reported that lights on South Main Street near the exit 12 ramp to Route 495 were green in separate directions and almost caused an accident.

2:20 p.m. Caller reported that they had a significant theft last night at 6 p.m. at Ann Taylor at Mansfield Crossing. Several items were reportedly taken from the store.

3:06 Jogging party on Tremont Street reported finding hypodermic needles in the roadway.

6:12 p.m. Caller reported a larceny of her daughter’s cell phone from the Comcast Center.

6:40 p.m. Caller reported that after she was given back her previously stolen vehicle there were things in it that did not belong to her.
