Mansfield Police Log: Joe Kennedy, Break ins and Christmas Lights

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from Aug. 16 to Aug. 19, 2012.

Aug. 16

8:27 a.m. Caller from Red Roof Inn reported that one of the guests had his bag stolen.

10:15 a.m. Caller reported a felony larceny of cables from the Mansfield Highway Garage’s power generator.

12:01 p.m. Caller reported that his garage was broken into during the week and several power tools, including a gas trimmer, compound saw, a hedge trimmer and a compressor, were taken.

5:32 p.m. Caller reported a group of kids pulling down Christmas lights in the area of the South Common.

6:22 p.m. There were no arrests at the Chicago/Doobie Brothers concert at the Comcast Center

Aug. 17

9:16 p.m. Norton Police advised that a vehicle at Emma’s in Norton had just committed a hit and run and was headed in the direction of Mansfield.

Aug. 18

3:30 p.m. The following is a summary of police activity from the Def Leppard concert at the Comcast Center. Four people were taken into protective custody and no persons were arrested for underage consumption of alcohol. There was one motor vehicle collision in the parking lot

Thomas Branco, 20, of 73 Highview Dr. in Sandwich was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

9:13 p.m. Caller reported that about ten female youths spray painted her car while it was parked on Morrow Street.

Aug. 19

12:48 a.m. Caller reported her vehicle was vandalized on Francis Avenue.

10:14 a.m. Caller reported unauthorized use of his credit card.

2:40 p.m. Caller reported a past larceny of his daughter’s bike from Thompson Street.

8:30 p.m. Caller reported someone stole his political sign for Joe Kennedy III from his lawn on Willow Street.
