Mansfield Police Log: Mailboxes, Chowder and Break Ins

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log from April 20-23.

April 20

12:41 p.m. Caller on Tremont Street reported finding an open can of clam chowder in her mailbox.

1:41 p.m. Caller reported her vehicle had been broken into on Bella Vista Avenue.

5:53 p.m. Caller reported a hit and run on Bonney Lane.

6:08 p.m. Caller reported that her vehicle had been spray painted while parked in the Covidien parking lot.

7:57 p.m. Karli Rasetta, 27, of 7 Norton Glenn Rd. in Norton and Kimberly Pelletier, 28, of 44 Joanna Dr. in Mansfield were arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise. They were arrested after being detained by a loss prevention employee at Kohl’s.

April 21

11:09 a.m. Caller reported malicious damage t his mailbox on Dane Street during the night.

11:13 a.m. One juvenile, aged 14, was arrested at the Congregational Church of Mansfield for larceny. Reporting party came into the station and stated that his BMX bike was stolen while he was performing community service at the church.

2:31 p.m. Caller reported his neighbor’s mailbox on King Street was destroyed during the night.

9:40 p.m. Richard Balser, 34, of 43 Alden Rd. in Norton was arrested for disturbing the peace and indecent exposure.

April 22

11:15 a.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated her car had been broken into during the night.

11:47 Reporting party came into the station and stated his car was broken into during the night on Rumford Avenue. A radar detector and a GPS were taken.

12:38 p.m. Caller reported that his motor vehicle on Rumford Avenue was broken into during the night.

1:27 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that his vehicle was broken into during the night on Rumford Avenue.

10:58 p.m. Delmo Coutinho, 32, of 110 Pratt St. was arrested for use of a motor vehicle without authority and failure to stop for police.
