Mansfield Police Log: May 3-9

Rabid Raccoons reported throughout Mansfield

May 3

4:47 p.m. Reporting party stated that a rock fell from the Rte. 140 southbound overpass while he was driving on Rte. 495 southbound.

6:29 p.m. Police received calls that there had been a two car accident on the Chauncy St. underpass. One occupant was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

10 p.m. Peter Faust, 47, of 90 Scadding Rd. in Taunton was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol after he struck another car on Rte. 140.

May 4

2:47 a.m.  Timothy Conroy, 20, of 13 Village Way in Norton was arrested for breaking and entering, burglary and wanton destruction of property. He attempted to break into his ex girlfriend’s house before he left the area. He was arrested by Norton Police and brought back to Mansfield.
8:39 a.m. Caller reported that his car window was vandalized at the train station

9:45 a.m. Reporting party came to the police station and stated that his rear window had been damaged at the Twin Oaks Building at 149 Oakland St.

10:27 a.m. Reporting party came into the police station to report that his car had been vandalized at 269 Franklin St.

12:37 a.m. Caller reported seeing a Honda van full of minors leaving 10 Connors Ave building parking lot at a high rate of speed. She said she believed they might have been consuming alcohol. Police reported negative findings.

4:08 p.m.  Caller reported that someone tried to break into her home on Pineview Ter.  Caller also stated that there was an attempted break-in last week.

5:19 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that Jason Forbes had violated his restraining order.

6:28 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that his debit cards had been compromised.

6:32 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that there was a possible rabid raccoon in his yard on Otis St. Police reported that the animal appeared very sick and was put down.

8:12 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that there was a hit and run involving her vehicle a the intersection of Memorial Park and Hope St. Vehicle was allegedly a grey 2007 Toyota Camry.

8:28 p.m. Elizabeth Eastep, 31, of 7 Shirley Ave in Norton was arrested for operation of an unregistered motor vehicle.

11:09 p.m. Kevin Whiting, 38, of 100 Oak St. in Norton as arrested for operation of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Norton Police alerted Mansfield to a possible drunk driver headed towards Mansfield. MPD alerted active patrol cars in the area. An officer viewed the truck allegedly swerving all over the road on Oak St. in Norton, and assisted NPD in the arrest.

 

May 5

10:45 a.m. Police found that three storm drain covers had been removed on Forbes St. and Plymouth St., amounting to a felony larceny.

2:58 p.m. Reporting party came into the station and stated that $950 had been stolen from a resident’s room at the Cobb St. Lodge.

3:00 p.m. Reporting party stated that his apartment on Samoset Ave. had been broken into during the day. Party reported that a laptop and an Xbox had been taken.

4:56 p.m. A sick raccoon was reported in the area Azalea Dr.

6:25 p.m. Caller reported that her front door had been kicked in and her house had been ransacked. Police have put out extra patrols in the area since the burglary.

11:02 p.m. Eliasib Alonzo, 23, of 226 Park St. in North Attleboro, was arrested on Chauncy St. for driving without a license. He was originally pulled over for driving at night without using his headlights. Pamela Vincent,  45, of 226 Park St. in Attleboro was also arrested for allowing Alonzo to drive her car without a license.

 

May 6

7:17 a.m. Jason Vieira, 25, of 17 Kelton St. in Pawtucket, turned himself in because of a warrant out for his arrest.

7:34 p.m. Stephen Washburn, 20, of 50 Crocker St., was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license on North Main St.

7:54 p.m. Reporting party stated that her identity had been compromised.

 

May 7

2:58 a.m. Shannon Martin, 25, of 30 Webb Pl. was arrested and taken into protective custody.

3:01 a.m. Pich Meas, 30, of 26 Alden St. in Fall River was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Police saw him swerving on Fruit St. and pulled him over.

10:41 a.m.  Peter Walters, 45, of 12 Central St. was arrested at the Catman Café on 16 Old Colony Way for aggravated assault.

1:12 p.m. Police found a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a motor cycle on the intersection of East St. and Suzanne Ln.. No injuries reported.

9:21 p.m. Karen Stark, 52, of 9 Elyse Rd. was arrested for procuring liquor, as a social host, for underage parties at her home. Underage Mansfield residents were also detained.

 

May 9

1:30 p.m. Caller reported that two males in their 20s stole  a number of phones from the T-Mobil store on School St. and fled. Caller reported that they may have used a four door black Honda Civic. They allegedly made off with three phones; a total value of $1,500.

6:10 p.m. Caller reported that he trapped a rabid raccoon on Willow St.
