Mansfield Police Log: Car Accident From Drunk Driving and Heroin Overdose

Over the weekend a Mansfield resident was arrested for an OUI after crashing her car and an arrest was made for possession of a Class A drug.

The following information was provided by the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction

 

Saturday, January 12

12:06 a.m. - After receiving reports of a vehicle behind a home on Maryalice Way, Mansfield Police and Fire responded to the one car accident involving Jessica McNeil, 23 of 41 Riverside Drive.

After crashing into a tree behind the house, McNeil was transferred to Sturdy Memorial Hospital and was later arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol. Bail was set at $40

5:15 p.m. - A 53-year old Mansfield male was taken in protective custody after attempting to walk to Bristol Liquors intoxicated. 

 

Sunday, January 13

2:30 p.m. - The Mansfield Police Department responded to a cell phone call stating that the caller's friend, Corey Medeiros, 42, of 1 Old Colony Way, Apt. 1A, had possibly overdosed on heroin.

Both Mansfield Police and Fire responded to the call at Rumford Square Apartments at 1 Old Colony Way. 

Medeiros was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A drug.
