Mansfield Police Log: Porsche Hit and Run, Break Ins and Comcast Center

The following is form the Mansfield Police Log from Sept. 7 to Sept. 9, 2012.

Sept. 7

1:35 p.m. Caller reported a felony larceny by check.

1:53 p.m. Caller reported a shoplifting incident at Best Buy.

5:04 p.m.  Chris Broderick, 39, of 694 Elm St. was given a summons arrest for domestic assault and battery.

5:07 p.m. The following is a summary of police activity at the Jason Mraz concert at the Comcast Center. Two people were placed into protective custody for public intoxication and no one was arrested for underage drinking. One person was stopped for erratic operation at the entrance of the parking lot, and one GATRA bus was cited for failure to obey police and creating gridlock on South Main Street.

8:36 p.m. Five parties were issued summons arrests for underage possession of alcohol in a vehicle on East Street.  The vehicle was originally pulled over for a stoplight violation.

Sept. 8

8:23 a.m. Caller reported his vehicle was broken into sometime during the night at Mansfield Meadows.

8:51 a.m. Caller reported being involved with a hit and run on Plain Street.

10:14 a.m. Caller reported that a black Porsche struck the stop sign leaving the airport in a hit and run.

4:00 p.m. The following is a summary of police activity at the ZZ Top/Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at the Comcast Center. Four people were taken into protective custody for public intoxication, two people were arrested for disorderly conduct and one person was arrested for a previous warrant. One person was stopped at the entrance to the venue(not the parking lot) after a handgun was discovered on his person. The gun was confiscated and broken down, and the subject was asked to leave.

Sept. 9

2:28 p.m. The following is a summary of police activity at the Zac Brown concert at the Comcast Center. 31 people were arrested for underage drinking and eight people were taken into protective custody for public intoxication. One person had an air rifle confiscated in the parking lot. The rifle was returned later that night after the owner passed several field sobriety tests.
