Mansfield Police Log: Rash of Break Ins

The following is from the Mansfield Police log from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, 2012.

Sept. 30

9:49 a.m. Caller reported jewelry stolen from her house sometime in the past year. Caller also reported an ongoing issue involving the theft of jewelry with a small amount taken every few months.

2:23 p.m. Caller reported a past break in attempt on Balcom Street. A window on the back door was broken and one of the door’s two locks was tampered with. No access to the residence was reported gained.

3:51 p.m. Caller reported that his house on West Street was broken into during the day. Small amount of jewelry and cash was reported missing.

4:03 p.m. Caller reported that someone had broken into his residence on West Street.

4:58 p.m. Caller reported that his residence on Gilbert Street was broken into during the day.

6:08 p.m. Caller reported that her pocketbook was stolen from the Shaws Supermarket.

 

Six total break ins since sept. 25 – six break ins in a week’s time – residential – one attempted.
